Farm finance advice from someone who has sat on the bank's side of the desk
Why Farm CFO
Plenty of farm businesses carry millions of dollars in debt with nobody looking at the numbers between one bank review and the next. The accountant does the tax, and the bank asks its questions once a year. In between, decisions about feed, stock and machinery are made without a cashflow to test them against.
Farm CFO was set up to do that in-between work properly, for livestock businesses, at a price a family farm can see up front. It is run by Levelhead Capital Pty Ltd, the company behind Levelhead Business Advisors.

Nick started on the lender's side of the desk as a personal and business banker at Greater Bank. He moved into broking in 2018 and has worked in commercial and equipment finance since, more than 8 years in all. In 2025 he was a state finalist for Commercial and Equipment Finance Broker at the MFAA Excellence Awards. The lesson from all of it is simple: the strongest applications come from owners who can show their numbers clearly and explain what they'd do if the season went wrong.
Nick also knows farms from the ground. He worked as a farm hand for four years and prepared stud pigs for show, which is where he learned how much of a piggery's result comes down to what happens in the sheds each day. For the past five years he has announced the pig section and competitions at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. He studied agricultural economics at Charles Sturt University in 2021.
Nick is based at Cooranbong and spends most weeks on the road. He works with clients Australia-wide and makes regular farm visits on the east coast.

Who we work alongside
Farm CFO doesn't prepare tax returns or BAS, so your accountant stays your accountant. Your vet, nutritionist, stock agent and agronomist keep advising in their own fields, and we make sure the budget reflects their advice.
Where a client needs equipment or vehicle finance, Levelhead Capital Pty Ltd's finance business, Levelhead Business Advisors can arrange it, with any commission disclosed in writing before anything is signed. You're always free to go elsewhere. Farmers in financial hardship are referred to the Rural Financial Counselling Service NSW, which offers free, confidential help.
